Doggum Update!

With the starting of classes, Bobbie has been quite busy napping away the days, occasionally leaping up to bark at passers by. (Real ones, or ones in his head that he THINKS he sees.) He ran out of one of his pills, and so I had to get some more for the little fatty. I had already called the vet, and they were midway through issuing me a new prescription, when I realized it said there are refills. Quick trip to Lawtons later, and Bobbie was back in business.

He is still getting out for his walks. Dad occaisionally drops by to walk Bobbie. They never go for long walks though, because Bobbie has some boundary issues with Shay. I'm just amazed Shay hasn't tried to eat Bobbie's face yet...

Friday, Bob got a much much much needed bath. The rank stench everyone has been smelling was indeed from Bobbie. You should notice it pass though, since he now smells fresh. I think part of the reason he's so stinky is because he pees more and more in his sleep now. I need to wash his pillow and blanket at least weekly, because they start to stink up the place. I still think we should save Bobbie the trouble of passing water, and just dump his water jug directly on the floor as opposed to making him drink it!

Below is a picture of lard-o stinky dog sleeping infront of the window as I type this from the dining room table!

Adventures on the High Seas!

Since the last blog, bobbo has had quite the number of nautical adventures! He's been kayaking, and hanging out at the Dartmouth Yacht Club. Ok, so for those keeping count, thats only two nautical adventures, but what can ya do?

Bobbie seemed to like the sailboat, because once we arrived, he didn't mind being aboard, as long as I was aboard with him, and within sight. Since I wanted to get some things done, and not worry about a small animal going for an inadvertant swim, I tricked him by lying next to him in the v-birth, till he dozed off, and then I was able to get some things done. Everyone wins!

I have yet to actually take the dog out for a sail, though I'm sure he wouldn't mind, since he just seems to like being around people. (Sometimes a little bit too much so, he has some dependancy issues! I was re-arranging my main and jib halyards to run them back to the cockpit, and he just came over and plopped down on my lap. When I moved him, he would whimper. If I tried to give him to Simon, same result.)

Anyhow, here are some photos the dog agreed to pose for:

BACK, by popular demand and the fear that there will be riots if there is no update soon...

So, Bobbie has continued on his normal activities over the past few days. He got into the greenbin once, peed on the floor probably 6-8 dozen times, took a poop as he walked around the house. (It looked like he was walking when he did it, cause there were little 'pooplets' everywhere...)

Because I really don't like to clean pee up off the floor, I've discussed it with doggy, and we have a new action plan. More litterboxes in the places he pees the most, and a more restricted area in the daytime when Amy and I are out, in exchange for at least TWO daily walks around the block, and playtimes when we are around. Talk to Nora and Amy, both can attest to the fact that Bobbie has been walked by me several times since we have enacted this plan! He's been around the block TWICE already today, and so he's very happy! (Its about 11AM here, by the way.)
Here's a picture of his happiness!

What a lickey dog!!

Didn't know his tongue was that long, gross!

"Why the hell did you wake me up?"

Bobbie was a little upset at being woken! So here is a video of him barking at me, fortunately with out sound! He's so loud you probably heard him anyways!

On a side note, to get back to talking about pooplets; you may recall a time 4 or more months ago when Bobbie had violent diarrhea in front of the robot vacuum. Well, I finally took it completely apart yesterday and cleaned it all out. 2 hours of work... there was dried shit EVERYWHERE! In the brushes, the wheels, you name it. And to boot, the thing had never been cleaned before. Tiffany, I pulled so much of your long blonde poo-covered hair out of the gears and cogs in that thing... Anyways, I have yet to test out the poor vacuum, but I am optimistic that it will function!

And here we have me giving lardo-dog his much earned biscut after all the noise he made!

I shall leave it at this!

Look forward in upcoming posts to a new series of video blogs by bobbie, where he'll share his worldly views and wisdom. He'll be looking for questions to answer regarding your world travels, so if you were wondering where its likely to encounter a Box Jellyfish in India, or where the nearest Desert Camel Tours are in Adelaide, Austrailia, feel free to ask and if your question is chosen from the thousands recieved, you may be lucky enough to see Bobbie himself personally answer your query!

Until Then!
